FBC Community Day Festival: Saturday, August 17 (11a-3p) at the Harris Pavilion in Downtown Manassas.

There will be a kick-off meeting for the FBC Paradise Circle Ministry on Sunday, August 11 from 3-5pm here at the church. We are asking parents with children in middle school (grades 6th thru 8th) to come and join us. This is an opportunity for the youth to gather and fellowship with each other, participate in group activities and discussions, play games, watch movies, enjoy some refreshments, and have fun. The Men's Ministry will hold officer elections on August 10th at 8am. Please save the date and plan to attend and vote. The following positions are on the ballot: President, Vice-President, Chaplain, Treasurer, and Secretary. There will be plenty of overlap so that the new officers can use the previous team as a resource. All young women ages 13-21 are invited to at- tend the FBC YWM Retreat scheduled for August 1-3. We will stay at the beautiful new Madison Hotel on the campus of James Madison University. A registration form, deposit of $50 and t-shirt size are due for all young women by July 14. Collection will start today and continue in the Narthex after each service. We are pleased to announce the next Senior Saints Prom will be Sunday, July 21, at 5pm at the Columbus Grill (8349 Centreville Road, Manassas). The theme is “Hawaiian Luau”. FBC Senior Saints ages 65+ are invited to join us. The cost is $15 per Senior Saint due to the 4 course dinner meal being served. On July 14th the READY Ministry will host a kick off Bowling Night at the Bowl America Bull Run from 6pm-8pm. This ministry is specifically for Young Men ages 13-18 at First Baptist Church of Manassas and those in the surrounding Manassas community. Not only will this be a time for fun and fellowship, but there will be an information session about the program and events planned for the year.

Parents are encouraged to attend and participate also! Please bring a friend and come out for some good competition and information about the program. FBC’S 2nd Annual Blessing of the Sport Wheels will take place on Sunday, June 30, immediately following the One Church - One Service. This event is open to the public – riders and non-riders welcome! This year we are including not just motorcycles, but also sport cars. The Blessing of the Sport Wheels event provides an opportunity for all riders/drivers to have their conveyances blessed for a safe riding/driving season. This event provides an opportunity for camaraderie and friendship to promote a positive image of Sport Wheels to the community at large. The FBC Photography Program plans to capture photos on date of Service from 9:50- 10:15am. Graduates shall arrive in the Narthex NO LATER THAN 9:40am to receive timeslots.

All Hats on Board the Spirit of Washington for a Lunch cruise on Saturday, June 1. A chartered bus will depart FBC at 9am to board the Spirit at 10:45am. The cost is $65 per person (adults 21 and over) to include transportation to/from DC and lunch on board. A $25 deposit is needed to secure your reservation and will be collected from March 10–24. The final payment is due on April 14. Join us as we fellowship to show God’s love to one another!

Come one, come ALL to a relaxing, fun time of fellowship with our Youth Choir/Angelic Ministry as we raise funds for our Disney trip in 2020. All you have to do to help us is come! (Donations are always accepted and appreciated!)

The FBC Sewing Ministry will meet Wednesday, May 24 from 1pm to 4pm in the Marshall D. Williams Hall. One of our projects this year is making Food Protectors for a Senior Citizens Day Care. The C.R.E.W. (Christians Ready Equipped and Willing) Young Adult Ministry invites all those ages 18-39 to join us on Sunday, May 19th, 2019 immediately following the 10:45am service for a C.R.E.W. Meeting upstairs in the Historic Sanctuary!  We will be discussing and planning our upcoming events including our Annual CREW Cookout which will be held at “The Jones” house on June 1st, 2019.  This year we are pleased to announce that Pastor and First Lady Savage will be joining us during our annual cookout!  We as the young adults of First Baptist Church of Manassas have the amazing opportunity to sit down with Pastor and First Lady Savage to discuss the needs of young adults today.  You don’t want to miss it!

How many relationships have been destroyed, marriages broken, arguments flared, and jobs lost because we couldn’t talk clearly, concisely, and effectively with each other? Words matter! It’s hard to take back hurtful words said to each other during frustrating moments! Most of us have experienced this. Let’s Talk about it. Come to the Sister to Sister Session on Friday night, May 17th at 7:00 p.m. where Sister Mona Austin will facilitate the discussion on how to communicate effectively with out loved ones, family members, friends and people on the job.

The Financial Awareness Ministry is discussing Home Ownership: Where you Stay v. Where you "Live." Join us for two hours of information and application as we debunk the MYTH-conceptions, explain Prequalifying v. Pre-approvals, and share details about the Often Missed Tax Advantages. Cancer has touched many of us in some way, so we decided to fight back by raising funds and walking in our local American Cancer Society Relay for life event. This year the relay will be held at Prince William Fairgrounds, Manassas, VA on May 11 from 10am to 10pm. Members of the ministry will be available after service to collect your tax-deductible donation or you can make your donation online.
