Due to a shortage of storage space at FBC, the church has modified its policy on when and how donation boxes can be placed in the Fellowship Hall. This does not preclude qualified and approved donation campaigns and ministry efforts. We are simply minimizing untidiness on our campus and recognize our storage capacity limitations.
FBC Family, cold weather is approaching and in preparation, FBC is holding our annual ‘Warm the Heart’ Winter Gear Collection, on October 26. In preparation, we ask for donations of gently used or new coats, hats, gloves, and scarfs for men, women and children from September 29 – October 24. Donations boxes will be in the Marshall D Williams Hall each Friday – Sunday during this period, and in Classroom 1 on weekdays. These items will be distributed at First Baptist Church on Saturday, October 26.
We are also looking for volunteers to provide soups and chili for this event, and times and sign up sign up is here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0D48ACAE28A20-first . Please contact Sis. Kina Mitchell at firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
It's October and time for our annual Trunk-A-Treat/Hallelujah Night event. The event will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at First Baptist Church from 5:30-8:00 pm. Hallelujah Night is a safer alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating and benefits both FBC and community children.
We need a few things to make our Trunk-A-Treat/Hallelujah Night event a big success. First, we need "trunkers" who will come and park their vehicle prior to the event and give out candy. Secondly, we need volunteers to help with the games inside the church. Lastly, we need lots of candy. Donating a bag or two of candy goes a long way. A box to collect candy donations will be in the Marshall D Williams Fellowship Hall.
